I've been a little obsessed with the color peach, especially pale tones, so I was beyond stoked when the grapefruit frosting naturally came out a lovely soft peach color (I still refuse to use dyes)...and then combined with blue is so beautiful.

 Grapefruit Chardonnay Cupcake:  Chardonnay cake filled with a grapefruit pudding & a blueberry, topped with grapefruit frosting, a sugar coated blueberry & sugared grapefruit zest.

strawberry cheesecake & peanut butter cup cupcakes...

...on some cute retro trays.

 Last week I intended to make cupcakes with a graham cracker crust but I was a little sleepy & forgot to put the crust in the cupcake liners so I put it on top instead.  Well, I kinda liked how it looked so I made that same mistake today, but intentionally :)  Pictured above = Strawberry Cheesecake Cupcakes: Vanilla cake with buttery graham cracker topping, filled with whipped cheesecake, topped with fresh strawberry frosting & strawberry wedges.

We've made peanut butter cup cupcakes before, but we like to mix things up, so these look a bit different than past versions.  Peanut Butter Cup Cupcakes:  Chocolate cake, filled with peanut butter mousse, topped with rich chocolate frosting, natural peanut butter "puddle" & a mini peanut butter cup.

There's another new flavor on the menu this week...Blueberry Grapefruit Chardonnay.  I'm in love with the pale orange & blueberry color combo so check back tomorrow for a purply blue & pale orange flavor board!

Fess Parker Winery Wedding ~ Los Olivos, Ca

I absolutely loved working with Jordan & Kevin, a very kind and in love couple from the Bay Area.  I brought a mix of ivory ceramic & silver stands, and set up a sea of cupcakes & a cute little creme brulee cutting cake.   The couple provided some little cookies in apothecary Jars jars with vintage photos of their family members.  The bride's mom left a set of gorgeous hand made crochet pieces to add some beautiful vintage texture to the table.   The groom's mom also made a couple decedent german chocolate cakes & pecan pies for the lush dessert spread...yum!

we hitched the cupcake trailer...

stocked it with 600 cupcakes & took it to Hitched (a beyond fun curated wedding event, put on by the lovely ladies of Bash, Please and Urbanic).  The people, the energy, the food, the eye candy, the venue (Steven at the Smog Shoppe, you rock and Kevin thanks you for buttering his sourdough!) was outrageous!

The Hitched gals sent all of us vendors the project board (top right) and it was so awesome to see it come to life!  Top left showcases the work of Jesi Haack & Dandelion Ranch.  The table next to it with the innovative yarn chandelier was by Sitting in a Tree Events.  Bottom left by Succulent Love and bottom right by Bash, Please.

There's the Cupcake trailer backed up against the infamous Live Wall at the Smog Shoppe & our view from the trailer (we were so lucky to be able watch Matt from Heirloom LA work his magic with the to-die-for food at that cool table)!  Also, notice all the special pieces decorating the entire site from Found Rentals.

We brought 6 different cupcake flavors (ginger lime chardonnay, chocolate blackberry syrah, creme brulee, chocolate cheesecake, dark chocolate salted caramel & dipped blondie).

Do you see how hopping & packed this place was?  Good times are being had!

The Kiss My Ass (istant) booth by Flashdance = hilarious!!!  In case guest didn't make it to the cupcake trailer, Kevin strolled around a funky authentic mid-century cart full of cupcakes (SharkPig, did you get the cupcake guy in action on film?).  And there was a glamorous fashion show styled by Grey Likes Weddings. 

Check out the cool ribbon and fabric chandelier by 100 layer cake!  Our new hot pink lights coordinated perfectly :)

Kevin got around as much as he could with our camera, but there was so more that we missed.  Green Wedding Shoes had a super creative DIY table, Floral Lab & Sweet Emilia Jane collaborated on a tablescape, featuring some cool tagging (I know you must be dying to see it!).  Flash Dance killed it & made the dance floor the place to be.  It was amazing to see confetti system "bling" in person & SO MUCH MORE!  I cannot wait to see photos from the super talented photographers that were there (Bonnie Tsang, Charley Star, Feather Love Photography, Sarah Yates, & Annie McElwian) and see some rad footage from SharkPig.

We did manage to jump into the Smilebooth with our friend, Jill of La Fleur Weddings!
