when you have an owner operated retail business & are an owner baker, it's a bit challenging to get away - so today i'm on a fantasy vacation with Kevin & Opal...catching fireflies, reading in a hammock, rowing boats, picnicing & gathering wildflowers.

We were thrilled to bring the cupcake trailer to one of Merryl Brown's events at a gorgeous private estate in Montecito. Merryl has an incredible eye and style. The entire party was breathtaking, but for now I'll just give a glimpse of the dessert portion! All photos by Michael Gardner Photography (except Kevin took the first one).
Congratulations, Kristin & Shaun! For the desserts at their Firestone Winery wedding they chose vanilla mascarpone chardonnay, chocolate blackberry syrah, sammy style smores (for the kiddos!) & ginger peach chardonnay cupcakes, along with a vanilla strawberry cake.
Props to Kevin for the dessert set-up and awesome flower decor on top of the cake.
We're celebrating summer fruit this week. Mixed Berry Cheesecake...vanilla cake, filled with fresh baked cheesecake, topped with raspberry frosting & mixed berries. Tangerine Mint Mimosa...champagne cake, filled with tangerine mint curd, topped with tangerine frosting. Plum Black Mango...vanilla cake, filled with mango curd, topped with plum frosting and a blackberry reduction.

We regularly have fun groups of people come in to indulge in wine & cupcake pairings, and it's often to celebrate special occasions. Some super cute girls spent part of their bridal bash with us a couple weeks ago and sent these photos and they are too cool not to share :)
